Before we talk about the Academic partnership let’s first get a deeper understanding of what Birla Brainiacs is. Birla Brainiacs is a collaborative learning platform for students from grades 1 to 8. We believe in supporting school development through a collaborative approach rather than a pathological approach. The curriculum aims to make learning an engaging process while catering to each student’s needs.
Designed for Preschool to Grade 8, the Birla Brainiacs Academic Partnership aims to collaborate with schools to impart the best education to all students and teachers. To support school development, we practice a collaborative approach instead of a tradition alone where knowledge is imparted and learned through both theoretical and practical methods. Adjusting the relationship between schools, teachers, and students, this partnership facilitates interaction to construct knowledge. Birla Brainiacs intends to integrate digital and physical spaces for an effortless learning experience.
Education for the Future Learner
The Academic Partnership offers a teaching-learning environment where students take control over ‘what’ to learn and ‘how’ to learn. We prepare teachers to help them on this voyage.
Our endeavour is to offer great opportunities for students to learn new information and skills, as well as harness their own unique qualities and interests at their own pace.
Committed to meeting the needs of 21st-century learners and helping them thrive through a variety of educational experiences, we help them build upon the 4 Cs (critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication), which is the cornerstone to becoming a successful learner.
Our belief that students need to work together and experientially learn and not be dependent only on a peripheral understanding of concepts brings in the collaboration with BOMIS and its many amenities; the most important being a strong support system in the form of interactive content and teacher support.
Importance of the 4 Cs
Compared to previous generations, kids today need different skills and virtues. With this pandemic, the challenges and confusion faced by the education sector have been immense. Conversations in the hallways and in the classroom have ceased, making the situation worrisome. On the bright side, ‘E-learning’ and ‘Edtech’ have revolutionized the erstwhile education system. Teachers and online portals are working together to bridge the gap between classroom learning and student learning through online classrooms and relevant study materials. Webinars and online educational tools have helped kids develop holistically and academically. The emergence of e-learning is a beacon of hope during these difficult times!
Students now have an added opportunity to refine their skills and explore their interests with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Students are expected to benefit from the carefully crafted primary year programs and the 5+3+3+4 approach to the Indian curriculum.
Due to the monumental shifts in the education sector, students must shift their priorities and focus on learning skills such as Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking. Learn how your children need the 4Cs in today’s rapidly changing world.
Communication
We, as adults, have witnessed the blunders that occur as a result of a lack of communication, or even miscommunication, over the years. As a result, it is critical to provide generation Z learners with a sense of awareness in order for them to communicate effectively. It is critical to assess the meaning one wishes to convey and to use the appropriate tools and media of communication, whether it is written or verbal communication. The 2020 National Education Policy Framework attempts to embrace the concept of literacy with no differences in pedagogical approach across many syllabi and examination boards. The way information/message is conveyed is more important than the information/message itself.
Collaboration
It is frequently stated that if you want to go faster, walk alone, but if you want to go further, walk with someone. The true power of collaboration is found in collective efforts that benefit one another. The world is a global village, and collaborating with members of society is critical for an individual’s holistic development. The Saar Education homeschooling kit is aligned with the National Education Policy Framework of 2020 and promotes collaboration as a way of life rather than a skill.
Critical Thinking
As children grow older, they frequently have a question bank for everything from the existence of stars and the Moon to the operation of a fan. A child’s quest for knowledge and logic should be encouraged rather than discouraged or dismissed. As a result, the answer to a child’s most basic questions should be revealed after encouraging the child to think first. Also beneficial to a child’s mental development is the use of effective teaching-learning resources and homeschooling. The goal is to teach them ‘how’ to think rather than ‘what’ to think.
Creativity
We, as humans, are driven by a desire to create something new and share it with the rest of the world! Children begin observing the things that are created around them at a young age, from the meal on their plates to the building outside their window. Children should participate in activities that allow them to express themselves creatively, such as imaginative play with hand puppets and toys, building with blocks and lego, moulding clay and dough, making sandcastles, drawing, sketching, and painting on canvas or walls. The important thing is that they allow their creative juices to flow without fear of being judged.
